It is noticeable that breakfast provided the least sodium, saturated fat as well as added sugar, only 14%, 16% and 16% for each. 29% of sodium and 26% of saturated fat were given by lunch, which was the second largest source for both the two categories among the four meals. However, only 19% of added sugar was given by lunch, which was only 3 percent more than the smallest provider, breakfast.
Dinner was undoubtedly the largest source of sodium and saturated fat, accounting for 42% and 37% respectively. Moreover, dinner took the second place with a percentage of 23% in the category of added sugar. As for snacks, they provided the most added sugar, as much as 42%, and took only 14% and 21% in the categories of sodium and saturated fat.
In brief, breakfast accounted for the lowest percentages for the three substances and the proportions of lunch are all somewhere in the middle among the four meals, while dinner provided the most of sodium and saturated fat, and snacks gave the highest percentage of added sugar.
